Cold-Rolled Non-Grain
Oriented Silicon Steel (CR-NGO): Non-oriented
electrical steels are silicon steels in which magnetic properties
are practically the same in any direction of magnetism in the plane
of the material. Typical applications are for motors, generators,
transducers, and magnetic circuits of industrial machinery.
Cold-Rolled Grain Oriented Silicon Steel (CR-GO): Grain
oriented electrical steels are iron-silicon alloys that provide low
core loss and high permeability needed for more efficient and
economical electrical transformers. Grain oriented grades of
electrical steel are typically used for transformer cores and large
generators.
